The xx are a Mercury Music Prize-nominated indie rock band from London, England. The band was formed in 2005.the group was originally a four-piece band, that met up at Elliott School, notable for alumni including Hot Chip, Burial and Four Tet.The xx became a trio when their keyboardist Baria Qureshi left the group in late 2009.
